Fantagraphics Books has announced that starting this weekend in Portland, Oregon, Josh Simmons embarks on his Black River Book Tour. With 24 destinations on the itinerary, there’s a good bet that the indie creator will be stopping at a location near you, and at some stops he may have some special guests (marked with an asterisk on the below time schedule) that are still to be announced.
Black River is the follow-up to 2012’s The Furry Trap, and it tells the story of a group of women, one man, and two dogs in a post-apocalyptic landscape. In their search for a city that reputedly still has electricity and other luxuries, they go to a comedy club, experiment with a drug called Gumdrop, and encounter gangs of sadists, fools, and lunatics.
