comiXology announced today on social media and by email that Dark Horse Comics has landed on its storefront for digital comics. The Dark Horse launch includes 29 bundles of popular characters and franchises such as Hellboy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Grendel, Aliens, Appleseed, Mass Effect, Serenity, Lone Wolf and Cub and more, as well as comics and manga available in smaller collections, including Astro Boy, Usagi Yojimbo, Groo, The Legend of Korra, Tomb Raider, and Conan.
This is great news for fans of quality digital comics reading, as Dark Horse publishes some of the longest-running independent series, and the comiXology store has had something missing for years, as there was no Usagi Yojimbo, Hellboy, or Groo on it. Users of the Dark Horse app may be disappointed though. When NerdSpan asked if readers could link their Dark Horse and comiXology accounts, just as Marvel app users can link to comiXology now, the answer was no.
@K4ComicBook Hey Keith. No account syncing. But I’ll pass along your interest!
