Since seasons 5 ended with Jon Snow’s death, attempts were made to keep his return to Game of Thrones a secret. After saying he wasn’t a fan of the famous Jon Snow haircut and that he’d cut it off when he left the show, Kit Hairington went some way to convincing the world he’d really gone by having his tresses trimmed a little. I say some way as no matter how many times Cut Harington said he’d gone, nobody believed him. Poor Clip was forced to lie to everyone, and he looks like the sort of honest person who wouldn’t enjoy such deception.
When Melisandre was seen cutting his locks during the resurrection scene she was actually removing some hair extensions. This blurry set photo suggests he’s now sporting some sort of man bun or top knot.
