It’s Sherlock: A Study in Pink #5 and there aren’t many left, so you really should know what to expect by now. Just in case you have somehow missed it, Sherlock: A Study in Pink is a Japanese Manga translated into English and based on the original TV episode of the same name. When I say “based on”, it’s almost a shot-for-shot storyboard with much of the original dialogue preserved.

In Sherlock: A Study in Pink #5, Holmes is irritated by a raid on 221B Baker Street with the outrageous claim that he might have some illegal substances on the premises. Watson doesn’t believe a word of it of course, but Holmes appears a little more concerned. Holmes has another brainwave about the identity of the killer, and is faced with a difficult decision.

I’m still enjoying Sherlock: A Study in Pink and I’m pleased with my decision to not re-watch the TV episode and spoil the ending. I remember most of it but it’s great having those little details coming back. The original TV episode was in 2010 so the details are slightly vague.  As always, it’s recommended for anyone interested in the original TV series, manga or quirky detectives in general. If you have somehow missed it and can’t find the back issues, Titan Comics plan to release the full set of Sherlock: A Study in Pink in a book soon.
