As the title suggests, a Game of Thrones character is making their return to the series in the next episode. If you don’t want to know who it is, stop reading now. In fact, why did you even click on the article? Was it the questions marks? Nobody can resist such tempting punctuation presented in an all expenses spared slightly blocky way.

No really, stop reading. There are plenty of other NerdSpan articles that contain no Game of Thrones mild spoilers.

Alright, you’re still here. I’ll tell you on the next few lines, and if you’ve already seen the HBO trailer you’ll know who it is, but some people prefer to know nothing about the upcoming episodes and I can respect that (more than I respect their ability to click on an article they didn’t want to read). Anyway, it’s the man with the wandering accent, Lord Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen), aka Littlefinger. He’s been absent from the first few episodes of Game of Thrones season 6.

Littlefinger was last seen matching Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) with the man who makes Joffrey seem really rather pleasant by comparison, Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Aidan Gillen suggests that Littlefinger feels remorse for that huge mistake, and is excited about the story arc seeking atonement with Sansa.
