Enchanting Essentials arrived with another care package to rival Molly Weasley’s, including not only new duds to show your school pride, a pack of journals for cribbing potions and herbology notes, an emblem by which you may induct your refrigerator into Pottermania, and a sign to show that you’re a Wizarding World insider, as well as the Loot Crate edition of a movie scrapbook.
My favorite item in Enchanting Essentials is the 4-pack of wizarding journals, each with a different color and design: Hogwarts house iconography; young Snape’s poignant moment with Lily; the winged keys; and, a memorable quote on light. I will be sure to give each of these sharp little notebooks a special purpose.
My second favorite item this month is a piece of Wizarding World home decor: a double-sided Wizardry sign that reads, on one side, “Wizards Welcome” in large gold letters, and “Muggles Tolerated” in small black lettering; on the obverse, it reads “Wizardry at Work” and “No Muggles Allowed.”
The Harry Potter wearables in the Wizarding World Loot Crate have all been soft, snug, and stylish, and this month’s Hogwarts crest t-shirt is no exception, with the graphite gray fabric fielding a black and slate gray Hogwarts house logo that translates the Hogwarts mascots into darker varmints that seem wilder and more beastly
Enchanting Essentials also provided subscribers with the standard edition of Newt Scamander: A Movie Scrapbook by Rick Barba, a fantastic coffee table book with not only behind the scenes info, but lots of in-universe inserts.
The house-specific item in Enchanting Essentials is a house crest magnet. Pictured is Gryffindor, but there were four of these, which subscribers received according to their registered House preferences.
The Patronus lapel pin is based on the doe Patronus of Lily and Severus. It’s a sweet little pin, perfect not only for a lapel but a bag or backpack strap.
Overall, Enchanting Essentials was an enchanting collection of Wizarding World artifacts, including several decorative items to accent not only your wardrobe, but your wall, your refrigerator, and your writing space.
Enchanting Essentials was tucked into the Room of Requirement, but until May 3rd, you can order Hogwarts House Pride 2018.
