Jedi Doth Return

Brilliant iambic pentameter marks the way of the Star Wars Shakespeare saga. To Star Wars fanatics the story is familiar, to Shakespeare lovers the phrasing is familiar, but to both there is a newness and a richness that only Doescher can provide.

The Empire Striketh Back

In all, William Shakespeare’s The Empire Striketh Back is another solid work of literary art and wonder. I absolutely love that Ian Doescher has taken the time and the immeasurable effort to give the world this book which might otherwise never exist. Fans of Star Wars and Shakespeare will find much to love and enjoy. And! The best part is that it is not over. The third book of the trilogy, The Jedi Doth Return, is set to be released on July 1, 2014. I cannot wait.

Bookworms: The Host (2008) by Stephenie Meyer

Worse, the souls have the specific ability to inhabit any host and rifle through its memories at will. Wouldn’t they realize the truth of why humans would fight back, that to lose themselves in entirety is a war that each human would fight to its last to prevent? There’s even mention, with actual sadness, of another race that committed mass suicide rather than be taken. Alas, Meyer avoids this internal inconsistency like a rabid dog.

Movie Review: The Host (2013)

The film attempts to show a sympathetic body snatcher while telling a story of forever love, resistance, and perseverance. It dies trying. It is a galactic conceit that the alien souls have colonized twelve planets and yet never considered that hosts would care about their presence or eradication.
