As mentioned in the Adventure Time with Fionna & Cake review, gender-swapped fan art is a mind-blowing act professional and fan artists have partake out of curiosity or fun. When done right by the artist, the male or female character is wonderfully reimagined as the opposite sex, while retaining all those memorable traits that made them dear. Josh WMC of Fan Art Exhibit is one of those talented artist. By excellent use of photo manipulation, Josh has transformed these familiar comic book supermen into superwomen in his set titled “If Women Ruled the Earth.”

Inspired by The Dark Knight, Josh’s first set features Hillary Swank as Two-Face, Abbie Cornish as the Joker, and Anne Hathaway (who later played Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises) as the brooding vigilante, Batman.

The second set is influenced by Marvel Studio’s The Avengers and continues to transform female celebrities into beautiful and tastefully designed heroes. From left to right is Alison Brie as Captain America (who loved the design), Sandra Bullock as Iron Man, Amber Heard as Thor, Rachel Weisz as the Hulk, and Rooney Mara as the sniveling Loki.

Last, but not least, Alexis Cozombolidis commissioned Josh to turn her into the Woman of Steel for her IGN profile image. Within a day Josh turned Cozombolidis into the main star of Zack Snyder’s upcoming Superman movie.
