This review is for IDW’s current TMNT run, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #53. This issue is Michelangelo-centric and deals with how he is handling the big changes that happened a couple issues ago. (Remember: NO SPOILERS. Just know that it was a whopper.) Michelangelo decides to hang with the Mighty Mutanimals and is welcomed with open arms. Of course, this being the world of TMNT, Michelangelo discovers that not everything is as it seems. By now, I must sound like a broken record, but I am enjoying the current run of TMNT so much. It has the feel of the original books, which I really can’t ask for more than that. I love the story, the art, everything. Plus, Pigeon Pete. Go check it out.
