Orphan Black will return soon with its fifth and final season starting on BBC America Saturday 10 June (9/10c). Netflix regions including the UK will get each new episode on the following day. By way of celebration, here are the latest pictures and the BBC America trailer.
I went into season 1 not really knowing what it was about. There was a woman and another woman who looked like her died. At the time I thought it was good and was possibly some kind of ghost thriller. How wrong I was. A few episodes in it had a multitude of clones and I was hooked. I’m pleased to say I still have to remind myself that it’s the same actress a few times each episode. I don’t know how Tatiana Maslany does it. No wonder she’s won awards.
To recap, Sarah Manning (Tatiana Maslany) was badly beaten after a fight with Rachel Duncan (Tatiana Maslany). Sarah’s foster mum, Mrs. S (Maria Doyle Kennedy) and daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler) were taken hostage and her ‘Sestra’ Cosima Niehaus (Tatiana Maslany) went missing. Rachel is running the show at Neolution with full access to the clone biology, with Cosima, Alison Hendrix (Tatiana Maslany) and Kira all surrendered to their fate. The pregnant Helena (Tatiana Maslany) has the most important biology of all. I hope nobody threatens her babies.
