Explore’s Loot for Her subscription included a Little Twin Stars v-neck fashion top, as well as one of five random trinkets. The front of the v-neck depicts the brightly colored Kiki and Lala riding a star with a monochrome night scene in the backdrop, while the back has a Little Twin Stars icon. With Hello Kitty, My Melody, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, or Gudetama as the possible trinkets, we received Gudetama.
While the trinket is OK, the shirt is extremely cute, showing a lot of attention not only to the Sanrio characters, but the integrity of the scene, with a multilayered color effect created by the contrast between the monochrome backdrop and the polychrome forefront. Moreover, I like it when nerd fashion takes an interest in the back of a shirt, and am pleased when that region of the fabric has at least one image to display on the visual field. Though this shirt has only a basic image on the reverse, it does suggest to the viewer that the shirt is creating a narrative, and the front might be worth seeing. Since the front is, indeed, very appealing, the rhythm between the front and back helps to make this shirt ever more striking.
The Little Twin Stars v-neck and trinket are no longer available, but until February 19th, you can order a Princess Bride Loot For Her from the Protect collection (spoiler through the link).
