Mayhem celebrated chaotic pop icons such as a clown princess of crime and sometime heroine, everyone’s favorite dysfunctional science heroes, a noted cringing cur, office hacks, and a trinity of popular DC super-heroes, with goodies from Rick and Morty, Harley Quinn, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Office Space, and Justice League.

My favorite item in Mayhem was the exclusive Rick and Morty: Morty Monster Mayhem figure based on promotional images from season 2 of the Adult Swim show. While Loot Crate’s figures have been hit or miss in 2018, this is my favorite figure to date, at least if we’re not counting the Banprestos in 2017 Loot Anime subscriptions. Easily assembled from three snappable pieces, minuscule Morty stands his ground against a many-eyed, dragon-mawed monster.

While I’ve only watched a handful of episodes, I respect this Courage the Cowardly Dog Pin, as it’s a well-made pin with tons of crinkles and precision coloring. There’s at least six colors in this tiny bit of bling. Mayhem’s Loot Pin was my second favorite item.

Although I’ve never watched Office Space, I understand this shirt refers to a funny scene in that cult movie, and it will no doubt be a hit with fans. As a shirt, it’s a nice steel blue on a heavier cut of cotton, and good for autumn.

Subscribers received one of three Justice League PopSockets, either Superman, Wonder Woman, or Batman (pictured). Billed as a phone grip and stand, many might find these useful.

Mayhem’s Harley Quinn item is an eighty page notebook with unlined pages, and Harley art on the inside and outside of the front and back covers. I would have preferred to see art from a Harley Quinn artist I know, as this artist doesn’t seem to get Harley, On the inside, Harley’s depicted with a cereal box smile.

Overall, Mayhem was an enjoyable crate, and if my interest leaned mainly toward the Rick and Morty figure, the other items were also nice.

While Mayhem is no longer available, until October 19th, you can order Cursed, which has goodies from American Horror Story, Attack on Titan, and Gremlins.
