Interrupting our usual features briefly, we take this opportunity to bring you something breaking:

We presume you all love Hawkeye, aka Hawkguy, aka Clint, the affable schlub who punches above his weight (if you can punch with a bow) even as he screws up his personal life, at least as his portrayed in his eponymous ongoing comic from Marvel.

If you don’t, then we don’t even know what to tell you, because Hawkguy is probably one of the best comics (if not the best comic) coming out of the Big Two houses at the moment. It is a candle of meaning in the darkness of mere being.

If, like us, you’re fans of the book, you may well wish to wear your affiliation on your sleeve, or at the very least on your chest. You now have the opportunity to do so, thanks to a series of T-Shirts being produced bearing the likeness of Hawkguy himself, the Hawkguy logo (complete with font!) and the now legendary “Bro”.

You may rightly observe that Nerdspan is intended as a criticism and news delivery source, and not as an advertorial. You are, of course, correct, but we’re not betraying our journalistic principles, nor are we motivated by our desire to see you decked out in sharp threads.

Fraction is giving his proceeds from the sale to Futures Without Violence, an organisation devoted to assistance for sufferers of domestic and family violence. You might remember that Fraction’s proceeds of Hawkeye #7 were given over to support Hurricane Sandy victims.

In this case, Fraction yet again seems to be doing a decent thing for no other reason than he’s a decent human being. There’s no freebies here, nothing for the Nerdspan staff. It’s just a worthy cause that we felt like helping out. You get the benefit of cool Hawkeye clothes, people who need it get help, everyone’s a winner. We’re not telling you that you have to buy anything, but if you weren’t aware of this, now you are, and if you’re inclined towards T-Shirts affiliated with one of the coolest comics cats around, this is your chance.
