ComixTribe offers money back guarantee on ‘The Standard’ #3
Posted By Ian Menard on July 4, 2013
Indie comic publisher ComixTribe announced this week that issue #3 of The Standard comes with a good old-fashioned money back guarantee. Should any reader – or retailer – feel like the issue does not meet their expectations, all they need to do is email publisher Tyler James (tyler.james@comixtribe.com) their thoughts and proof of purchase.
The Standard, written by John Lees and illustrated by Jonathan Rector, tells the story of Gilbert Graham – an idealistic former super hero who is forced to come out of retirement to investigate a string of kidnappings. The series constantly asks the question, “Do super heroes (and their comics) need to get darker and edgier to stay relevant in today’s society?”
Issue #3 finally sees Gilbert in action, and is the installment responsible for Lees’ ‘Best Writer’ award at the Scottish Independent Comic Awards. For an advance review, go here. For a review of the first issue, go here. To buy the published issues, go here.
