BOOK OF DEATH – Issue 2 (Review)

Valiant’s BOOK OF DEATH Issue 2 will be in stores August 19, 2015.

The Eternal Warrior, Gilad, is still determined to interpret the prophecies in the BOOK OF DEATH with the help of Tama. Gilad’s former team members (Livewire, X-O Manowar, & Ninjak) have caught up with him and Tama and they are demanding he turn the young girl over to them. They are convinced the girl is responsible for several catastrophes, killing innocent lives, which have been taking place around the world.

Gilad is not going to let them take Tama. Gilad warns that he will not give up the girl and they have been tricked into thinking she is responsible. He warns that they should leave. The Eternal Warrior’s experience with thousands of years of battles becomes very evident to his former team as they choose not to heed Gilad’s warning.

BOOK OF DEATH Issue 2 is maintaining a brilliant pace with a combination of great writing and explosive artwork. Issue 2 is action packed and will leave readers very eager for the next issue. This story, by Robert Venditti, is becoming very intriguing as to what the future will hold, not only for Gilad, but the entire Valiant Universe. Robert Gill along with Doug Braithwaite have created some fantastic fight panels that really help get the blood pumping while immersing yourself into the story.

If you like action and a well written story, then you definitely do not want to miss this series. The first issue sold out in record time, and the second is anticipated to do the same. Make sure you get your copy of BOOK OF DEATH Issue 2 on August 19, 2015.
