Archaia Entertainment and Meteor Entertainment have announced Rubicon, an original graphic novel that reimagines Akira Kurosawa’s Seven Samurai in a modern setting. Set during the war in Afghanistan, Rubicon tells the story of a team of U.S. Navy Seals who protect an Afghani village from Taliban attackers.
Rubicon is written by New York Times best-selling author Mark Long, and illustrated by Mario Stilla. It comes from a story by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects), and an idea by Seal Team VI veteran Dan Capel. Look for this original graphic novel to hit shelves in June.
