ABC have announced their 2016-2017 schedule. Following the cancellation of Agent Carter, Hayley Atwell will be starring in Conviction, which ABC call “a legal drama about a flawed yet brilliant mind who attempts to turn over cases where there is credible suspicion of a wrongful conviction”. Also of interest if Designated Survivor, a conspiracy thriller that sees Kiefer Sutherland return to primetime TV. Rounding up the more serious shows is Notorious starring Piper Perabo, which is inspired by true-life stories. For the comedies we will see American Housewife which sees the adventures of a flawed family in a perfect Connecticut suburb and Speechless, a family comedy starring Minnie Driver as “a mom on a mission”.
