This time around, we see the focus of The Magicians shift to one of their recurring characters in episode 9: All That Josh, with the return of Josh Hoberman (Trevor Einhorn)!  With the title of ‘All That Josh’ sounding remarkably like a reference to ‘All That Jazz’ and with a history of slipping in a musical number, it is not too surprising to discover that this one is going to be a more substantially musical episode.

Coming off the back of an episode where there was quite a significant shift in the power dynamic in Fillory, it could be expected that we’d be plunged into that story, but as usual, with episode 8: Six Short Stories About Magic, The Magicians takes us off on another direction!

At the halfway point of the season, things are really getting heated up in The Magicians episode 7: Poached Eggs.  As per usual, there will be spoilers, so don’t tell Todd; he’ll tell everyone…
