Rick. Morty. Two names that might not evoke much thought by themselves. Put them together, however, and you’ve got a property full of crazy adventures that a growing base of loyal fans love. The idea of Rick And Morty might have started out as a Back To The Future parody for film festival Channel 101, and turned into a hit animated series on Adult Swim, but it has grown into so much more. Their popularity is evident in the fact that The Simpsons even used them in one of their famous Couch Gags.
The popularity of Rick And Morty has even made its way to Comics and fans couldn’t be happier. This is a review for Oni Press’ Rick And Morty #9. Let’s just say that fans of the show will not be disappointed with the books. All the witty banter, crazy stories, and just the pure zaniness of Rick And Morty shine through on the printed page. The story of an “Evil Dictator” version of oneself from another dimension would be interesting enough, but the fact that it’s a Rick And Morty story, with Morty being the Dictator, makes it even better. I can’t recommend this book enough for fans of the show and for anyone who wants to read some fun craziness.
