If we’ve learned anything about the in-development Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff, it’s this: there will be Blood…and Palicki.
Nick Blood and Adrianne Palicki, who play freelance mercenary Lance Hunter and veteran S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Bobbi Morse on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., respectively, are reportedly “finalizing deals” to star in the new ABC show. The pair joined the cast during this current season.
The pilot episode is being penned by Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive producer Jeffrey Bell and co-executive producer Paul Zbyszewski, who are also developing the series. A decision will likely be made on whether the series is greenlit once the script is finished. Zbyszewski will reportedly act as showrunner should the show be added to the ABC schedule.
A third season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has not yet been confirmed, nor has a second series of Agent Carter, the show that filled the mid-winter schedule gap when S.H.I.E.L.D. went on winter hiatus.
