Three Image Comics series—Outcast, No Mercy, and Deadly Class—are beginning new story arcs later this Fall.
Robert Kirkman remarks that the new arc of Outcast will answer some questions that were created by the mythology of the first issues; Alex de Campi says that the new story arc of No Mercy is just as bloody as the last; and, Rick Remender says that this chapter of Deady Class is horrifying for the cast, but there’s a moral nugget at the end for them. The new arc of Deadly Class will also contain bonus material that is not going to appear in the trade collections.
Outcast #13 arrives in comic shops on November 25th, No Mercy #5 arrives on December 9th, and Deadly Class #17 arrives on December 16th.

NO MERCY RIPS INTO NEW STORY ARC
Writer Alex de Campi (Archie vs. Predator), artist Carla Speed McNeil (Finder), and colorist Jenn Manley Lee (Dicebox) will launch a new story arc in their ongoing thrilling drama series NO MERCY this December.
Previously in NO MERCY, a bus full of privileged college freshmen got a brutally rude awakening on their way to build schools in a Central American town when they careened off a cliff and became stranded in the unforgiving desert. They quickly realized that the rules of their old lives did not apply to their current predicament, fraught as it was with the dangers of a harsh environment, cutthroat enemies, and hungry wildlife.
In NO MERCY #5, Gina finds her spirit animal.
“The new arc of No Mercy is just as bloody as the last, and widens the tension out to bring in families, the school, and Sister Ines’ extremely dodgy relatives,” said de Campi. “One of the things we’re proudest of with No Mercy is keeping the tension ratcheted up all the way throughout this arc (which goes through Issue #9) as we learn more about these teens, a few of them are saved, and a few of them get themselves further into danger. And one, who won’t live past Issue 6.”
“Readers are gonna get some of the moments they’ve been hoping for in this next arc. They just might not happen to the people they expected, that’s all…” added McNeil.
“Believe it or not, even more drama gets introduced, with even more ramifications than falling off a cliff,” said Lee.
NO MERCY #5 (Diamond code: OCT150504) hits stores Wednesday, December 9th. Final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, November 16th.

DEADLY CLASS LINES UP FOR A NEW STORY ARC
All issues will include extra art content not included in the trade volumes
Bestselling writer Rick Remender (BLACK SCIENCE, TOKYO GHOST) and critically acclaimed artist Wes Craig (BLACK HAND COMICS) will launch a new story arc in their ongoing cult-hit drama DEADLY CLASS this December.
Previously in DEADLY CLASS, homeless orphan Marcus Lopez joined a shadowy school specializing in training the next generation of the world’s deadliest assassins, thinking he had nothing left to lose. He quickly discovered how wrong he was, finding himself forced to fight off a drug cartel amidst his own wanton self-destruction.
In DEADLY CLASS #17, The King’s Dominion school grounds become a killing field, and Marcus Lopez is hunted by his classmates for their final exam. Onetime friends and lovers become hunters in the dark, brandishing blades, bullets, and a burning desire to become best in class.
“The boiling point has been reached. We wanted to take our time before smashing the trains together for the battle royale, to earn it by building the cast and their emotional connections and drama, and this is it. It’s a horrifying chapter in the student’s lives, but coming out the other end of it there’s a moral to all of the horror,” said Remender. “Wes and Jordan haven’t looked better, but if you’re a fan of good art you don’t need me to tell you that. But I did anyway in case you aren’t. So there.”
“Things have been pretty intense for our main cast right from the beginning, but this new story arc is really where it all comes crashing down.” added Craig. “Death, destruction, betrayal—all that good stuff.”
DEADLY CLASS #17 (Diamond code OCT150523) hits stores Wednesday, December 16th. Final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, November 23rd.

OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA CASTS OUT NEW STORY ARC
New York Times bestselling writer/creator Robert Kirkman (THE WALKING DEAD, INVINCIBLE) and artist Paul Azaceta (Daredevil,Punisher Noir) will launch a new story arc of their ongoing Skybound horror series OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA this November.
Previously in OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA, Kyle Barnes began to piece together clues about his strange abilities and plague of tragedies. He discovered a new sense of purpose, but also a growing concern for his ostensible partner Reverend Anderson.
In OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA #13, Kyle is faced with the most emotional exorcism yet as he begins to learn more about his abilities and what’s really going on around him.
“The first year or so of The Walking Dead and Invincible were spent building characters and the world around them before things really ramped up. Outcast is no different,” said Kirkman. “So far this series has set up a mythology that has a lot of mystery and intrigue. Well, now it’s time for answers! Starting with issue 13, we’re going to finally start peeling back the layers and show you more of what’s going on with Kyle Barnes, why these demons appear to be attracted to him and what it really means to be an Outcast.”
OUTCAST BY KIRKMAN & AZACETA #13 (Diamond code: SEP150593) hits stores Wednesday, November 25th. Final order cutoff deadline for retailers is Monday, November 2nd.
