Kodansha Comics, American publisher of hit manga titles Attack on Titan, Sailor Moon, Fairy Tail, and more, made some major announcements in terms of their manga lineup for 2014.
With the growing popularity of Attack on Titan, Kodansha is bringing fans more of Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi. The anime may be on break now, but the upcoming spinoffs are sure to bring smiles to fans’ faces:
Attack on Titan Guidebook: INSIDE & OUTSIDE – This guidebook will be definitive guide to the secrets of the Attack on Titan universe! This single volume of nearly 400 pages will include more than 16 color pages, concept art, complete character profiles, and maybe even some Attack on Titan papercraft?! Coming summer 2014.
Attack on Titan: Junior High – Eren, Mikasa, and Armin are off to Junior High School… Titan Junior High! This wacky series re-imagines the main cast of the hit Attack on Titan series as junior high school students and teachers! Comedy abounds in this unique series. Coming spring 2014.
Attack on Titan: Before the Fall– A manga series based on the hit Attack on Titan: Before the Fall prequel light novels newly licensed by Vertical! Set 70 years before the story of Eren and the fall of Wall Maria, see how humanity learned to fight the Titans and how the maneuvering gear was created. See the Titans like you’ve never seen them before! The manga debuts in spring 2014, while Vertical’s novel debuts in the summer.
Attack on Titan Gaiden: Kuinaki Sentaku – New from Aria, the shojo magazine that brought you No. 6! An original Attack on Titan spin-off series that delves into Captain Levi’s dark past, his first encounter with Commander Erwin, and his recruitment into the Survey Corps. “Live your life… with no regrets!” Coming summer 2014!
In addition to Kodansha’s 2014 lineup of Attack on Titan spinoffs, My Little Monster, Say I Love You, Monster Soul, xxxHolic Rei, xxxHolic Omnibus, and Tsubasa Omnibus, two new manga series will be added:
