In an effort to make it easier for aspiring artists to get their art in front of eyes at Boom! Studios, Boom! has launched a Facebook page where artists can post samples and contact information. Pencilers, inkers, colorists, and letterers  are all encouraged to submit samples for the Boom! editorial staff to take a look at.

It’s as simple as uploading an image, giving a bit of background, and your contact information. Boom! does discourage sending messages, as they will not be read. In addition to the art being posted, the editorial staff at Boom! will occasionally post hints and tips for aspiring artists.

“I’m really excited about this new initiative,” said Managing Editor Bryce Carlson. “Not only is the BOOM! Studios Artist Submissions Page an amazing opportunity for aspiring artists, colorists, and letterers to get their samples in front of BOOM! editors on a regular basis and find helpful tips and advice, it’s also a great community for creators to interact and learn from each other. Finding new talent is awesome, but providing a home for people to grow and learn together is what really makes this so special.”

Particularly interesting will be seeing how artists are hired from the page and what capacity they’ll be hired in. While Boom! might be on the lookout for artists, many artists are sure to be contacted by other potential collaborators, as many writers trying to break into the comic industry are sure to be watching the art as it rolls in.
