Kevin Sorbo starred in the #1 show on the planet – twice. After narrowly missing the chance to play the Man of Steel, placing second to Dean Cain who then played the role of Superman in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Sorbo went on play Hercules for six seasons on Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and then Captain Dylan Hunt for five seasons on Gene Roddenberry’s Andromeda. In his book True Strength: My Journey from Hercules to Mere Mortal and How Nearly Dying Saved My Life, he recounts how suffering strokes that left him partially blind during Hercules changed his point of his view and over time redefined how he measured success.

Earlier this year, after a bit of phone tag that concluded well when Kevin called me from an airport, he discussed heroism and role models with me. More recently, I discussed heroes with him again, this time in person and before a live audience, in fact – when I moderated Kevin’s Q&A panel. He’s a great guy who truly appreciates his fans. Each time I’ve seen him at his convention booths, I’ve noticed him standing in front of his table instead of sitting behind it. As he greets fans, who often hug him, he always very welcoming.

I discovered that TheEmoPepsi has posted Kevin’s New Orleans Q&A on YouTube. I’ve embedded part one below. I must give Wizard World a big “thank you” for inviting me to talk with this interesting man.

So what would you have asked Kevin Sorbo if you’d been there. What questions might you like for me to pass along to him in the future? I really will ask some of your questions the next time I get the chance.
