Movie Review: Extracted (2012)

With his debut feature, Extracted (known as Extraction outside the US), Nir Paniry gives us a film exploring familiar territory, but unlike a lot of low budget Sci-fi, this familiarity breeds not contempt but the reassuring sense of a film you can enjoy.

Warehouse 13 4.14: Horses and Flying and Magic, Oh My!

Last week’s brilliant black and white noir episode brought panache and style along with an amazing duo of guest stars. It also brought Artie back into active, if reckless duty…. This week, we’re back to regular pairings, and to a good end, signaling a return to what folks who work in the warehouse call “normalcy.” This much anticipated episode, titled “The Big Snag,” has a delightful double entendre that deals with both Pete and Myka’s case, as well as Claudia, Jinks, and Artie’s (yes, he’s gone active this episode) case.

On May 8th, Missi and Enrico got together with Jack Kenny to talk about the episode, Galaxy Quest, and crack a bunch of jokes that had everyone laughing. Haven’t seen Galaxy Quest? Stop reading and go watch! It’s a fan favorite for a reason.

Pete, because quiet reflection is not his gig, comments “Right. You know, it’s always ultimately death. I mean, artifacts never release a plague of tickles, or an epidemic of kittens.” How the cast manages to keep a straight face for that take is beyond me.
