Ah, the classics. You can never go wrong with the likes of Doyle, Hemmingway, and Twain, but especially Hama. That’s right. Larry Hama is responsible for some of the most pivotal G.I. Joe stories ever written. Honestly, the man has probably forgotten more about G.I. Joe than you or I will ever know. Now, thanks to Marvel and IDW, we can revisit those classic tales.

This is a review for G.I. Joe: The Complete Collection – Vol. 8, which collects the original runs of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero #68-76 and G.I. Joe: Special Missions #10-13. One of the great things about this collection, other than the fact that it allows new fans to enjoy all the good stuff that they might not have been aware of, is that it is presented in the proper reading order. As any Comics fan will tell you, this makes a world of difference when you’re trying to enjoy a storyline that takes multiple issues. As a fan of the original G.I. Joe comics, I can’t recommend G.I. Joe: The Complete Collection Vol. 8 enough. Go get it. Enjoy the good stuff.
