Welcome to this week’s edition of Profound Tweets! In the course of one busy week, we’ve seen a Pope resign for the first time in centuries, a fugitive ex-cop that had the nation glued to social media for updates, and the State of The Union address. DC dominated the headlines with Orson Scott Card announced as a new Superman writer while longtime Green Lantern scribe Geoff Johns declared his intention to leave the title after nine years, and two new titles were announced which caught the attention of Fox News. So it was an interesting week in our little corner of the world, and you’d better believe the comic world had opinions. Most of the time, they’re coherent even.
As much as I enjoy writing for NerdSpan, I think I might have the chops for Pope. I’m officially throwing my hat in the ring. I like my chances.
I’m inclined to agree with the Red She-Hulk scripter. Truer words have never been spoken.
Sorry. I am automatically disqualified to an overwhelming lack of coolness.
That’s deep. I did get tacos Tuesday night, though. They were decent, because they’re tacos. They’re always at least decent. The location I went to gave me a free Cinnabon Delights dessert item due to how long the order took. I would give you a review but everyone in my house got to them first. C’mon NerdSpan friends and fans, if you’re buying a Cinnabon branded product at a Taco Bell, you kinda know what you’re in for.
Hmm, yes. You could probably rent acquaintances who would look the other way, though. Much like “Entourage” I figure.
Fair enough. To the point. No more silliness when a creator is plugging a book. “I wrote/drew this. You should buy this. I would like to keep doing this and getting paid for it.”
See? Good things happen when you buy comic books! Read more comics!
Marvel held their creative retreat this week and lots of things were discussed. I am taking a huge risk here when I suggest a company wide crossover was pitched by someone. Snarkiness aside, I am genuinely happy when I read tweets like this. The creators are happy about what’s going on, maybe I could be happy about something, too.
Are there cool industry types I need to be following on twitter? Are you following NerdSpan on twitter?! Are you okay with so many questions? Let us know in the comments below!

Thanks for putting these tweet posts together. These are great. In this one, my out-loud laughs started with Jeff Parker’s tweet, not that I’m going to argue with him.

Thank you! I am an avid collector of plaudits as well as comics.
Honestly, thank you, it’s always appreciated.
