Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: a Mark Millar comic series could end up on the big screen.

On the heels of Kick-Ass, Kingsmen and the recent announcement that Chrononauts will be made into a movie comes today’s news that Jupiter’s Legacy is next in line.

Millar is in talks with Lorenzo di Bonaventura to adapt the hit Image Comics series into a feature film. The series, penned by Millar and drawn by Frank Quitely, debuted in April 2013 and wrapped up in January of this year.

Jupiter’s Legacy focuses on the descendents of a group of heroes from the 1920s.

“We have the last remains of these old-school heroes and their mainly vacuous children living in L.A., a massive disappointment to the first generation of super-people,” Millar said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in late 2012.

If di Bonaventura does bring Jupiter’s Legacy to the big screen, it will add to his already impressive resume; he has produced all four “Transformers” films, both “G.I. Joe” films, both “Red” movies and “Salt.”
