After quite a few teaser images, Kurtis Wiebe has officially unveiled his new comic series, Rat Queens. Though originally planned to be a self-published and Kickstarted funded book, Rat Queens was recently picked up by Image/Shadowline. It is an action/fantasy/comedy with a modern, adult spin that follows a group of female mercenaries known as the Rat Queens.
Operating out of the mountainside town of Palisade, Hannah, Violet, Hannah, and Dee are a group of monster killers whose love of partying is second only to their love of violence. They’re willing to kill anything for the right price. With the presence of the Rat Queens, Palisade is safe from monsters, but the parties thrown by the feminine foursome are much more dangerous than the monsters ever were.
