After naming so many possible companions yesterday, it’s surprising I didn’t manage to get it right. As revealed by the BBC just now, the new companion is Pearl Mackie and her character is called Bill. Pearl Mackie is a theatre actress currently appearing in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time.
From the trailer, it looks like The Doctor and Bill will be facing Daleks at least once. Bill wasn’t too worried as nothing too dangerous can have a sucker.
