Dark Horse Comics is thrilled to have Faith Erin Hicks, Cecil Castellucci, and Eric Grissom presenting at Miami Book Fair November 12-19, 2017
Faith Erin Hicks is a Canadian writer and artist. Her published graphic novels include The War at Ellsmere, Friends with Boys (First Second Books), Nothing Can Possibly Go Wrong (with Prudence Shen), The Adventures of Superhero Girl (which won an Eisner Award in 2014), The Last of Us: American Dreams (with Neil Druckmann), and the Bigfoot Boy series (with J. Torres). She is currently finishing up work on her fantasy adventure trilogy, The Nameless City. She lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, with her partner and occasionally helpful cat.

As superheroes surge from the standard avenues of comic stores and blockbuster theaters onto the small screen and bookstore shelf, there’s a new hunger for fresh perspectives on what makes heroes super. Faith Erin Hicks (Adventures of Superhero Girl), Barry Lyga (The Flash: Hocus Pocus) and Jo Whittemore (Supergirl: Age of Atlantis) discuss what they’re doing to deliver that! Moderated by Joan Hilty.Cecil Castellucci is the author of books and graphic novels Boy Proof, The Plain Janes, First Day on Earth, The Year of the Beasts, Tin Star, Stone in the Sky, and the Eisner-nominated Odd Duck. She coauthored Moving Target: A Princess Leia Adventure, and is working on Shade, the Changing Girl, an ongoing comic for Gerard Way’s Young Animal imprint at DC Comics. She is the children’s correspondence coordinator for The Rumpus, a two-time MacDowell Fellow, and the founding YA editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books. She lives in Los Angeles.
