George Nadeau, the Manager of Product Development at Cryptozoic Entertainment, had this to say in response to my request for more information about these promotional cards:

The Cryptomium^TM “Blue Bats” trading cards which will be available from select dealers at SDCC this week are standard sizes, 2.5” x 3.5”. These cards have not been nor will they be released elsewhere. They are, in fact, the next installment of cards in the series of Cryptomium^TM “Blue Bats” cards that we most recently released in packs of our DC Comics Justice League Trading Cards set.

The full set of Cryptomium^TM “Blue Bats” comprises 44 cards. With the distribution of these 9 cards at SDCC later this week, 35 cards from the series will have been circulated. The final 9 cards in the set will be released next year.

Hence, Batman collectors should treat these as a very hot swag item at San Diego Comic Con, as this is your only chance to complete this reissue set.  26 are in the Justice League trading card packs, 9 are being distributed ONLY at Comic-Con, and 9 more are to be released later this year, for a total of 44 cards in the series.

As a tie-in promotion for Cryptozoic Entertainment’s new DC Comics Justice League Trading Cards set, three different vendors at San Diego Comic-Con aka Comic Con International will be carrying a set of three Batman Classic TV Reissue cards.
