Last year to commemorate the 75th issue of their fabled horror series with the scantily clad ladies, Grimm Fairy Tales, Zenescope Entertainment held a Kickstarter to generate enough funds for an animated series. Performing a little over the $175,000 goal, the Grimm Fariy Tales Kickstarter succeeded in guaranteeing a pilot to potentially pitch to networks. The pilot has now been uploaded to Youtube, teasing Grimm Fairy Tales fans with three minutes footage of violent goodness.

The animated Grimm Fairy Tales pilot stars Lena Headey as Sela Mathers, the series’ action heroine with the power to show others the errors of their ways with a fairy tale. Animation was done by Titmouse Studios, who are famously known for their Adult Swim work such as Metalocalypse, Superjail!, and Black Dynamite. Jon Schnepp served as director, who’s past resume also includes Metalocalypse, as well as Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and The Venture Brothers.
