Marvel Comics has released a three page, unlettered preview and cover gallery from Greg Weisman and Domo Stanton’s Starbrand & Nightmask #1.
Starbrand and Nightmask were two of the more popular titles in Marvel’s 1986-1989 New Universe comic book line, and their eponymous heroes possessed interesting stories, power sets, and character designs In the press release below, the two heroes either seem to be looking forward to their millennial audience, or backward at Lee and Ditko’s superhero with “personal problems,” Peter Parker, as they are described as just as concerned with class registration, midterms, and sharing their dorm room, as wielding their cosmic powers.
Starbrand & Nightmask #1 arrives at comic shops on December 16th, and you can preorder it from comic retailers until November 16th.
