Dynamite will be releasing a collection of Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files: Wild Card comic book series this October.

Wild Card is basically Harry Dresden vs. the Joker, more or less, although in this case, he’s called Puck. ‘Cause Puck is an awful person, he really is, in The Dresden Files. He doesn’t run around being cool; he’s terrible… and fun,” says Jim Butcher.

“Our ongoing partnership with author Jim Butcher on his Dresden Files series continues to be well received by his fiction audience and comics fans alike,” says Dynamite CEO and Publisher, Nick Barrucci. “When we got the script for Wild Card, its twists and turns were every bit as unpredictable as someone whose hand includes its namesake playing card. You can tell that Wild Card is some of the most fun he has had writing stories for comics so far!”

An Original Story Set Within The Dresden Files‘ Official Continuity,
Exclusive to the Graphic Novel Format

July 20, 2016, Mt. Laurel, NJ: Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files saga continues in Wild Card, an original and in-continuity graphic novel by Jim Butcher, co-writer Mark Powers, and artist Carlos Gomez, featuring a story set after the bestselling novel White Night and graphic novel Down Town! Previously available only as single issues of a comic book series, the Wild Card storyline is now collected for the first time in Regular and Limited Signed Edition hardcover formats (priced at $24.99 and $39.99, respectively), with cover artwork by Stjepan Sejic (Switch).

From the back cover description of this upcoming hardcover collection: “A bizarre double murder draws the interest of Chicago’s only wizard-for-hire. But as Harry Dresden begins his investigation, the clues lead to troubling conclusions about the possible perpetrator, and set him on a path that will place him in the middle of a conflict between the city’s three most powerful factions — a conflict that could engulf all of Chicago!”
