Dark Circle Comics has released a three page unlettered preview and cover gallery from The Shield #2, which arrives in comic shops on February 17th.

The co-writers of The Shield say that as the Shield’s 1776 origin is revealed, it will also unveil mysteries at the heart of the nation.  Adam Christopher says that “With issue 2 we not only reveal another slice of the Shield’s 1776 origin, but we find out a little more about the factions who have been waiting for her arrival…” and Chuck Wendig adds that “…the Secret History of the United States” is “a secret history whose origins are tied explicitly to the Shield’s own beginning.”
